You know what? I feel like it has been absolutely forever since I have shared a piece of furniture with you all. And, it sort of has been. Which, is completely unusual for me.
This past weekend, I got back into the painting groove and finished a few custom orders. One being this lovely, vintage, two-toned sideboard.
I've been doing lots of planning (and a little bit of work) on Gennaro's bedroom makeover as part of the Fall in Love Series I'm taking part in. (You can see my original post here).
Gennaro has the smallest bedroom in our home (totally what happens when you are the youngest, right?) and is in constant need of storage.
One of the untapped storage possibilities in his room is under his bed. I wanted to do something homemade and a bit industrial feeling so I repurposed two drawers from a vintage dresser that I picked up.
I'm kind of in love with the whole popularity of tie dye in home décor. Additionally, my boys and I have been a bit obsessed with the artist Jackson Pollack for a few years now. I love both because they are just such free expressions of art and I wanted to incorporate this into our home in an unusual way.
So excited for this weekend. So excited this week is over. The last few days have been a challenge and they need to go. Ever have a week like that? Let me just say this...kids are tough to parent. Yeah. I'm done.
But, on a lighter note, want to know what one of my favorite pieces of furniture of all time is?
It's the bench. They are truly so versatile and there are so many options.

You know what? I constantly face my fears. Totally not kidding. There are two things that really scare me in the DIY world...staining and stenciling. (I have tons of other fears, too, like insects. I will run like a screaming child if one flies at me; totally not relevant but true.)
